Current Fellows

The 2019-20 fellowship cohort is the 47th class of fellows! The class is comprised of 273 fellows sponsored by AAAS and partner societies. Of these, 33 will serve in Congress, and 240 in the executive branch among 19 agencies or departments.

Featured Fellow

Billy Hall

Billy Hall, whose doctoral training in global and sociocultural studies led him to his fellowship placement at the Bureau of Food Security at USAID, is interested in issues related to land tenure. He hopes the fellowship will enable him to contribute to creating more opportunities for sustainability for small-scale growers and farmers around the world.

Affinity groups are formed and managed by current and alumni fellows.  They provide fellows with a forum to meet and discuss issues related to areas of specific interest. Click here to see the full list of affinity groups and to learn how you can get involved.
