Stephanie Adams
Stephanie G. Adams, 2005-06 Executive Branch Fellow at the National Science Foundation, was named dean of the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. She will be the first woman in this post. Dr. Adams is a professor and chair of the department of engineering education at Virginia Tech.
Irene Glowinski
Irene Glowinski, 1985-1986 Congressional Fellow sponsored by the American Chemical Society, was named acting director of the Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID) at the National Institutes of Health. DMID's $1.5 billion budget supports research on diseases caused by most human infectious agents.
Tawny Mata
Tawny Mata, 2013-15 Executive Branch Fellow at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is one of four scientists hired to create the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research's inaugural Scientific Program Department. "I look forward to growing public-private partnerships," she said.
