Trainers & Instructors
The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) S&T Policy Fellowships (STPF) program (https://www.aaas.org/programs/science-technology-policy-fellowships) provides opportunities to outstanding scientists and engineers from a broad range of disciplines, backgrounds, and career stages to learn first-hand about policymaking in the federal government while contributing their knowledge and analytical skills. In support of our efforts to cultivate science policy leaders, STPF provides a year-long professional development program designed to complement fellows’ experience in their placement offices.
Annually, STPF solicits trainers, coaches, facilitators and/or faculty members to conduct trainings through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. We seek engaging, cost-effective programming on topics related to policy and the federal government, communication, leadership, and networking and career strategies. Each workshop will provide fellows with skills and information to achieve the STPF learning goals and objectives (https://www.aaaspolicyfellowships.org/sites/default/files/file-entity/2021-04/2021-22%20AAAS%20STPF%20Learning%20Goals%20and%20Objectives_Final_0.pdf).
For information on the proposal submission process for the 2022-23 fellowship year, see the 2022-23 STPF PD RFP (https://www.aaaspolicyfellowships.org/file/2022-02/2022-23-aaas-stpf-pd-rfp). The proposal deadline is Monday, April 18, 2022, 5:00 p.m. E.T.
