You can now find Kelly Scanlon, 2014-16 fellow at the EPA, at electronics trade association IPC International as head of environment, health and safety policy and research. “IPC was looking for a science policy expert: someone who could connect technical issues with policy solutions; use their science as the foundation for the creation of public policies; and advocate and communicate with industry and policymakers. Mari-Vaughn Johnson, 2010-11 fellow at the State Department, is now federal director of the Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center, a consortium between the US Geological Survey, U. of Hawaiʻi and U. of Guam. “The STPF fellowship enabled me to make cross-sector connections: it was through the fellowship that I built, and continue to build, an invaluable network of fellow fellows committed to securing a better future for our planet.”
