Professional Development Program
The professional development (PD) program is an integral part of the fellowship experience and includes a two-week orientation, monthly workshops and trainings, a career summit, special interest affinity group events, and a year-end summit.
The PD curriculum is designed around the learning objectives developed specifically for the S&T Policy Fellowships. These learning goals and objectives are foundational in fostering fellows’ development as science policy leaders and encompass four overarching areas of learning: Policy and the Federal Government, Leadership, Communication, and Networking and Career Strategies.
Calendar of Events
The PD calendar is updated regularly throughout the year and fellows should check back frequently for any changes. Attendance at professional development events is expected, when availability permits. Registration opens 30 days beforehand.
