Refer to the Fellowship Completion Process and Protocol for steps on how to complete your fellowship. Below is a checklist of actions to take to complete the program in good standing and be eligible for alumni opportunities.
- Attend the AAAS STPF Orientation (first-year fellows only).
- Submit the post-orientation self-assessment (first-year fellows only).
- Submit the Fellowship Impact Plan (FIP).
- Participate in a site visit with your AAAS program manager and host office mentor(s).
- Submit the Mid-Year Report and Evaluation.
- Submit the Year-End Report and Evaluation.
- Reconcile all Travel Expense Reports and travel advances with AAAS STPF Finance (for fellows hired by AAAS Fellowship Programs, Inc. only).
For Executive Branch Fellows who applied through AAAS, to be eligible for a second year renewal, you must:
- Attend the AAAS STPF Orientation only if the second year will be in a different branch of government.
- If Orientation was attended, submit the post-orientation self-assessment.
- Submit the Fellowship Impact Plan (FIP) within 45 days of starting in your office.
- Participate in a site visit with your program manager and host office mentor(s).
- Submit the Mid-Year Report and Evaluation.
- Reconcile all Travel Expense Reports and travel advances with AAAS STPF Finance (for fellows hired by AAAS Fellowship Programs, Inc. only).
